INFINITI QX50 brings John Oates’ guitar collection to 24th annual Amelia Island “Concours D’Elegance”
Back in February of 2019, a little shindig went on involving some famous guitars and a 2019 QX50 INFINITI and we’re here to tell you all about it! Put simply, it may just “make your dreams” come true that John Oates of top pop-rockers Hall & Oates fame was a strong participant in the 24th annual Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance showcase. He worked with INFINITI directly to curate and have delivered (by a 2019 QX50) four of his own guitars from Nashville, TN (where he owns a residence), in time for the show on Amelia Island, over 600-miles away in Florida. Nashville, in case you weren’t aware, is also the location of INFINITI’s North American headquarters. You don’t get 34 chart hits on the US Billboard Hot 100 as well as into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame easily, and guitarist, songwriter, and singer John Oates is the perfect man to have picked to send guitars for the cause!

This extravaganza displays Infiniti’s current luxury models and debut technologies, as well as models like the 2019 INFINITI QX50, the 2019 QX60, and the electric-minded Prototype 10 concept. The popular INFINITI SUV lineup also represented well at the Ritz-Carlton event, like the 2019 QX50 and QX80. INFINITI is its ninth consecutive year of sponsorship of this event, and the show’s Foundation has provided to Community Hospice & Palliative Care and other institutions more than $3.45 million on Florida’s First Coast following its commencement in 1996.
In keeping with its trademark brand progression and evolution, INFINITI displayed the extended-range Prototype 10 electric concept, with a style that is simultaneously reminiscent of retro racers. The Prototype 10 model concept brings up new pure electric and e-POWER vehicles while also channeling the broad potential of ultra-low emission tech. You’ll recognize this one by its sleek design. It has a lengthy bonnet and open-air driving position, characterized by an interesting dorsal fin following the driver’s seat. Plus, a “10” appears on the sides just behind the front wheels.
