When it comes to planning trips or vacations, there is a common misconception that you will spend a lot of money. This isn’t necessarily true, because there are a lot of great destination to visit without spending a lot of cash. Here is a look at the top 5 places to visit on a budget.

5. Peru

When looking for a bargain destination, Peru should always be high on your list. There are so many things to do in Peru, you can relax on the white sandy beaches of Mancora, explore some of the ancient ruins and the Inca trail, or go on an Amazon River expedition. The best part about visiting Peru is that you can get great accommodations for as little as $25, eat good meals for less than $5, and get a ride to anywhere in the country for $30.

Most of the people who plan a European vacation usually go to countries on the Western side of the continent, like The United Kingdom, France, and Italy. Unfortunately, trips to those areas can be very expensive. Some Eastern European countries like Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Romania, are destinations that you can visit on a tight budget. These countries all have the same old world appeal that their counterparts have, but because of their bad economic situations in those countries, you can live very well in those places for as little as $40 per day, which covers you room, food and entertainment.

This is another country where you can save a lot of money, while enjoying a first class vacation. There are so many things to do in South Africa, from visiting Safaris to scuba diving. Because of the purchasing power of the dollar or Euro, you can enjoy all these things, as well as five star hotel accommodations and food, for a fraction of what it will cost in most places.
